My first painting doodle in a long time. The gist: It's a collection of a few of my rusty items that are in my room (and one I've only seen in pictures) and is all about growth + changing in times where the proverbial rusty nails might fall from the sky and give you diseases. The worms are underground and missing out on all the fun, but they are blind and don't notice the other one is just a few shoves of dirt away. So they remain alone and without adventure. The butterfly is flying around all free, but she's all locked up! And the gigantic screw in the earth = groundedness.

Why "Brother Butterfly?"

Well...

At the caterpillar picnic brother butterfly stole a rhubarb stem, licked and dipped it in the sugar bowl.

I saw mewithoutYou in Portland and followed them to Seattle, and in all that time I took only photo because I was too busy jumping around to get a decent shot. mwY in Portland 6.24

I parked downtown and saw the Needle way off in the distance and decided to go to the top. So I did! There were fair rides and some other things on the way, but my battery was dead basically the entire day.
